Booking, Pricing & Studio Policies

Thank you for choosing Bonesnbugstattoos! Every tattoo is a piece of original artwork, and I appreciate the trust you place in me when choosing to wear my work.

Please take a moment to read through the following policies before submitting a booking request. By booking an appointment and paying your deposit, you acknowledge and agree to these policies.

1. Booking & Deposits

A deposit is required to secure all appointments.

Deposit amounts:

- $50 for hourly appointments (up to 3 hours).

- $100 for half-day sessions.

- $100 for full-day sessions.

All deposits are non-refundable and will be applied toward your final tattoo balance.

Rescheduling:

- Your deposit includes one reschedule, provided at least 48 hours' notice is given.

- Your rescheduled appointment must take place within 30 days of the original appointment date.

- If you cancel, miss your appointment or request an additional reschedule, your deposit is forfeited.

- A new deposit will be required to secure another appointment.

Your appointment is not confirmed until your deposit has been received.

2. Pricing

My pricing is structured to give both you and me a clear understanding of the expected appointment cost before we begin.

Current rates:

- Hourly: $140 per hour for appointments up to 3 hours.

- Half-day session: $550.

- Full-day session: $780.

Half-day and full-day sessions are offered at a set rate rather than being billed hourly. This allows us to establish an expected appointment cost ahead of time.

All pricing is discussed and agreed upon before your appointment so there are no surprises when it comes time to pay.

The only additional charges are:

- Drawing fees: May apply to excessive revisions, significant changes to an established design or requests for a complete redesign.

- Last-minute concept changes: Changes to the original design concept requested within 7 days of your appointment may incur an additional drawing fee.

- GST: Applicable 5% Alberta GST is added to all services.

Any additional drawing fees will be communicated before proceeding.

3. Artwork & Design Process

All custom artwork is created with your individual tattoo, placement and overall vision in mind.

To protect original artwork and prevent unauthorized copying or reproduction, designs are no longer sent out in advance of appointments.

Your design will be presented at the beginning of your appointment, allowing time to review the artwork and discuss minor adjustments before tattooing begins.

Please ensure you are comfortable with your overall concept, placement and approximate size before booking.

Significant changes to the original concept, excessive revisions or requests for an entirely different design may require an additional drawing fee.

Changes to the original concept requested within 7 days of your appointment may also incur a drawing fee.

Tattooing will not begin until you have reviewed and approved the design and stencil.

4. Cancellations & Rescheduling

I understand that unexpected things happen. However, appointment times are reserved specifically for you.

- At least 48 hours' notice is required to use your one included reschedule.

- Your replacement appointment must take place within 30 days of your original appointment date.

- Deposits are forfeited for cancellations or missed appointments.

- Additional rescheduling requests require a new deposit.

Repeated cancellations or missed appointments may result in future booking requests being declined.

5. Payment

Payment is due upon completion of your appointment.

Accepted payment methods:

- Cash

- E-transfer

All prices are subject to an additional 5% GST.

6. Appointment Etiquette

Please help maintain a comfortable and focused studio environment.

- Arrive on time for your appointment.

- Please do not arrive more than 10 minutes early.

- Contact me if you are running late.

- Arrive having eaten and hydrated.

- Wear comfortable clothing that allows easy access to the tattoo area.

- Please arrive with clean skin.

- Do not consume alcohol or recreational drugs before your appointment.

One guest may accompany you, provided they are respectful of the studio environment.

Children under 12 are not permitted in the studio.

7. Health & Safety

Your safety is important.

- You must be 18 years or older. No exceptions.

- Valid government-issued identification is required.

- You must be sober and able to provide informed consent.

- Please disclose relevant medical conditions, medications, allergies and skin concerns before your appointment.

- If you are feeling unwell, please contact me before attending.

- Tattooing may be postponed if your skin is sunburned, irritated, injured or otherwise unsuitable for tattooing.

I reserve the right to refuse or postpone a tattoo if proceeding would present a safety concern.

8. Copyright, Artwork Ownership & Intellectual Property

All original artwork and creative content produced by Bonesnbugstattoos is protected by copyright under Canadian copyright law.

This includes, but is not limited to:

- Original tattoo designs and custom illustrations.

- Flash sheets and individual flash designs.

- Drawings, sketches and stencils.

- Digital artwork and design files.

- Original photographs and videos.

- Instagram posts, reels, graphics and other original social media content.

- Original written content, captions and promotional materials.

- Website artwork, graphics and other original creative materials.

Copyright protection applies automatically to eligible original works upon creation and fixation in a material form. Registration is not required for copyright to exist.

Purchasing a tattoo does not purchase the copyright to its design.

By purchasing a tattoo, you are purchasing the service of having the artwork applied to your body. You are not purchasing the right to reproduce, distribute, sell, commercially exploit or authorize another person to recreate the original design.

Without prior written permission, the following uses are prohibited:

- Copying, tracing, reproducing or recreating original designs.

- Taking artwork or flash designs to another tattoo artist for reproduction.

- Selling, distributing or commercially using original artwork.

- Reproducing artwork on merchandise, prints, clothing or other products.

- Removing watermarks or artist credits and claiming artwork as your own.

- Uploading original designs, drawings or artwork to AI platforms for the purpose of copying, recreating, modifying or generating derivative versions.

- Using original artwork or content in a way that falsely suggests endorsement, authorship or ownership by another person or business.

Purchasing a tattoo does not grant another artist permission to copy or recreate the design.

Photographs, Videos & Social Media Content

Original photographs, videos, graphics and written content created by Bonesnbugstattoos are also protected by copyright where the applicable legal requirements are met.

You are welcome to share and repost my publicly available social media content for personal, non-commercial purposes, provided appropriate credit is given.

Reposting does not grant permission to remove watermarks, alter artwork, claim authorship, sell content or use it for commercial purposes.

Written permission must be obtained before reproducing, licensing, distributing or commercially using any protected Bonesnbugstattoos artwork or content.

Nothing in this policy is intended to restrict rights or exceptions provided under Canadian copyright law.

9. Photography, Portfolio & Social Media

Photography and video are a standard part of the Bonesnbugstattoos experience.

Photographs and videos of completed tattoos, including the surrounding body area, may be captured and used for:

- Portfolio documentation.

- Instagram and other social media platforms.

- Website content.

- Advertising and promotional materials.

- Business marketing and portfolio development.

By booking an appointment, clients acknowledge that tattoo-related photographs and videos may be used for these purposes.

To protect client privacy:

-•Faces will not be intentionally included. ldentifying features and personal information will be excluded.

Photographs will focus on the tattoo and relevant body area.

Images will not be accompanied by identifying personal details. Bonesnbugstattoos retains copyright in original photographs and videos created by the artist, subject to applicable law.

10. Aftercare

Proper aftercare is essential to the healing and longevity of your tattoo.

You will receive aftercare instructions following your appointment. It is your responsibility to follow those instructions and properly care for your tattoo throughout the healing process.
